WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE RESPITE CARE PROGRAM?
The Respite Care Program provides affordable Home Attendants for elderly persons whose care is dependent upon relatives and others who require short-term relief from those responsibilities. Certified Home Health Aides provide temporary care for elderly persons in need of services when their caregiver is away on a business trip or vacation, attending to personal needs or becomes ill. Services provided include: Personal care, meal preparation, shopping escort services, assistance with light housekeeping and laundry. Respite care can also assist elderly persons who require temporary help following hospitalization. Home Attendants are closely trained and supervised by professional social work staff.
