Veg Out with Vegetarian Mains

Whoever said carnivores have more fun hasn't eaten a whole roasted vegetable!
Join Chef Loren to learn how to make vegetarian mains that are simple enough to accomplish on a weeknight and impressive enough for a dinner party.
In this class, we will make a roasted cauliflower dish and a stuffed pumpkin.
Shopping lists will be sent out a week in advance and the recipes will be sent
24-48 hours before the class.
Zoom link to follow to all who register.

About a week before class all registrants will receive a shopping list

A day or 2 before class you will receive the recipes and instructions for any
advance prep that needs to be done.

We recommend that you have all your ingredients pre-measured and ready before
class starts

These sessions are usually recorded and all registrants will receive a link
to the recording as soon as its available

Class length varies by number of participants, be prepared to spend up to 2 hours in the class.

You are welcome to make all or some of the recipes, or cut recipes in half.

Join Chef Loren Avellino for her Virtual Cooking Residency at GNPS. She will teach 1-2 hour cooking classes via zoom. Each class will include 1-3 recipes which you will cook along side the chef. About one week before each class, you will get a list of shopping ingredients and on the morning of the class, you will get the recipes and any advance prep instructions. All skill levels are welcome. Let's get cooking!

About the Chef:

As a first-generation Italian-American woman from Brooklyn, NY, Loren Avellino practically grew up in the kitchen. Her mom made home-cooked meals every night, and Loren was always by her side. Her nonna (mom's mom) taught Loren how to make fresh pasta, and her father's mom (granny) taught Loren how to bake.

It should come as no surprise that Loren eventually found her way to culinary school. She attended the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City where she earned a degree in Culinary Arts. From there, she went on to cook in restaurant kitchens, both locally and in Sardinia, Italy. Chef Loren has also worked on recipe testing and development, food styling, writing, catering, teaching, and even cooking on TV. Nothing makes her happier than when she's in the kitchen.
