Edison, Tesla and NYC's First Electric Grid
This is a 90-120 minute walking tour led by Rich Miller, former NYC Energy Policy Chief and member of Good Neighbors of Park Slope.
The tour traces the moment that sparked a global revolution, transforming gas lit streets to a city of skyscrapers illuminated by electricity.
You will learn about Tesla and Edison and visit the locations they had their laboratories.
This tour covers at least 1 mile and will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
There will be places to stop and sit.
This tour is free to members of GNPS but we are asking for
a $10 per person cash donation at the end of the tour
for Rich's charity of choice: Brooklyn Greenway Initiative.
