You must register for each class you can attend, due to small class size. PLEASE REMEMBER TO CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND.
Wear comfortable clothing for movement: sweats, dance wear, loose clothing. Nia is usually done barefoot, but clean sneakers may be worn. Bring water to stay hydrated.
Please respect your host, as well as the other GNPS members who have registered and on the wait list, by giving sufficient advance notice if your plans change and you cannot attend.
NIA (Neuro-Muscular Integrative Action)
This class incorporates movements from Dance Arts (Modern, Jazz, Duncan Dance,) Healing Arts (Yoga, Feldenkrais, Alexandar) and Martial Arts (Tai-Chi, Akido, Tai-Kwan-Do) into a one hour class that will increase Strength, Balance, Agility, Mobility and Stability.
There is an aerobic component that can be done at the participant's fitness level.
Pleasure and Fun are the operative concepts. The class is set to music from all genres.
Classes are barefoot or bring clean sneakers.
Bring Water to Stay Hydrated.
All Fitness Levels Welcome.
