The Importance of Sleep
   This event is free and open to the public,
but you must register to be admitted.


This session includes information on what sleep is and why it's important.  REM and non-REM sleep are defined and explained.  How much sleep we need along with actions to take to minimize sleep disruptions are examined together with sleep disorders and what to do about them.  Tips to get a good night’s sleep are reviewed.

and member of Good Neighbors of Park Slope
   Joan has been a registered nurse for more than 35 years and in her current role at the Hospital for Special Surgery, she has made frequent presentations on this topic.
