Focus is adult vaccines and reasons to be vaccinated. Four vaccines: Tdap, Pneumococcal, Influenza and Shingles vaccines are reviewed, including the purpose of each of them, explaining that they not only protect the person vaccinated, but also their loved ones and/or other contacts. Why is it especially important to be immunized during the pandemic as well as up to date information about the current status of a vaccine against the novel coronavirus will be discussed. Joan Altman has been a registered nurse for more than 35 years and in her current role at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She has made frequent presentations on this and other topics.
