Neighbor Network: Keeping our Community Connected
The Neighbor Network matches volunteers with older adults to call in New York City. These regular calls help to fight social isolation, connect older New Yorkers with the resources they need, and build relationships that will bring joy and comfort to call recipients and volunteers alike.
Join us to hear about the Neighbor Network’s work and participate in a discussion about how New Yorkers have stayed connected during the pandemic and are continuing to build and sustain community. You will also hear about how you can join the Neighbor Network, whether you want to receive calls, sign up as a volunteer, or help us reach new older adults who could benefit from a regular friendly chat.
Let's continue keeping the channels of communication open on how we can work together to support healthy aging (such as maybe co-hosting group volunteer opportunities or other activities).
Our guest speaker is Felicia Valletta, Volunteer Director of the Neighbor Network and you can reach her at felicia@theneighbornetwork.org
