Covid-19 Vaccination Information
(last updated January 15)
New York State is now scheduling vaccinations for "Phase 1b" groups which includes people aged 65 and up.
Vaccinations are by appointment only and New Yorkers can determine eligibility and find a provider to receive their first dose through the State's "Am I Eligible" app or call the New York State Vaccination Hotline at 1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829). And New Yorkers will be able to schedule an appointment to receive the required second dose on site after receiving their first dose. ADVOCATES LOOK BACK ON YEARS-LONG CAMPAIGN FOR 7TH AVENUE STATION ELEVATOR

  • From Eric McClure of Park Slope Neighbors Newsletter:
  • The MTA announced this week that Park Slope’s 7th Avenue/9th Street F/G subway station is on the list of the next stations to be made accessible by elevators, three, in fact. There’s not a firm start date for the work yet, but the work will be funded from an existing federal grant, so it should not be delayed. Congratulations and thanks to the many who have advocated for accessibility at this station, including Good Neighbors of Park Slope, the Park Slope Civic Council, Brooklyn CB6, Council Member Brad Lander, and Assemblymember Robert Carroll, among others: https://patch.com/new-york/parkslope/long-awaited-elevator-coming-park-slopes-seventh-ave-station.

Many thanks to Michael Wade of Trivia Throwdown for a fun afternoon of trivia. To read more about Trivia Throwdown and other zoom games, check out this recent New York Times article HERE

We hope we can do this again. To be notified when this is scheduled, add your name to the Trivia interest group on the Activities Overview Page

Thank you Barbara Kaminsky for the excellent, patient instruction in Tai Chi.
