Reclaim Our Vote (ROV) is a volunteer-driven, nonpartisan voter-outreach campaign led by the 501(c)3 Center for Common Ground of Virginia. ROV is dedicated to empowering under-represented voters in communities of color by increasing voter registration and reducing the barriers to voting. Working with national partners, such as NAACP, Mi Familia Vota, and Black Voters Matter, ROV's goal, through postcarding, phonebanking, and textbanking campaigns, is to increase voter turnout among voters of color by at least 20% compared to 2016 in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Arizona, and Florida.
The most critical campaign at this time is phonebanking, and this will continue through Election Day. Nancy Goodban from ROV will be live on Zoom to explain how GNPS members can get involved in this effort. If enough GNPS members are interested, ROV will set up a training specifically for us. Following the training, we could have weekly sessions on Zoom to support each other while making calls.
