IN THE NEWS

ADVOCATES LOOK BACK ON YEARS-LONG CAMPAIGN FOR 7TH AVENUE STATION ELEVATOR
- From Eric McClure of Park Slope Neighbors Newsletter:
- The MTA announced this week that Park Slope’s 7th Avenue/9th Street F/G subway station is on the list of the next stations to be made accessible by elevators, three, in fact. There’s not a firm start date for the work yet, but the work will be funded from an existing federal grant, so it should not be delayed. Congratulations and thanks to the many who have advocated for accessibility at this station, including Good Neighbors of Park Slope, the Park Slope Civic Council, Brooklyn CB6, Council Member Brad Lander, and Assemblymember Robert Carroll, among others: https://patch.com/new-york/parkslope/long-awaited-elevator-coming-park-slopes-seventh-ave-station.
